BMW 2001 330i question or maybe its generic enough for any car owner to answer?

So my water pump broke in my 2001 BMW 330i last night. Coolant everywhere. Crazy engine noises. Cant drive the thing longer then about a couple miles or else it can overheat to death. The next question is, what exactly do I need to buy to fix this problem?

not really versed on the 330...all depends on how the pump is driven...just a std belt?,or somtimes waterpumps are connected[driven]from the timming belt,which means dont even start the engine if it fails...somtimrees there under a large fan central
